The department provides teaching of economic professional subjects mainly for students of the study field and program FINANCE AND MANAGEMENT (see below).

Guaranteed study programmes and fields of study

Guaranteed major in Finance and Management (within the Economics and Management degree programme) and the Finance and Management programme

The overall objective of the Finance and Management major and program is to provide candidates with the opportunity to obtain a career-oriented undergraduate education. The students prepare for practical activities in the field of financial and economic management, including the use of information technology. In a series of follow-up courses they study in particular the issues of financial management of organisations and related tax systems, financial and managerial accounting. Marketing management of companies, quality management and computer science are not neglected either. As a result of such a study concept, its graduates are able to work in middle management positions of companies and public organizations and solve standard economic situations without any problems.

A significant part of the study is the professional study practice, which allows students to confront theoretical knowledge with issues of specific institutions and facilitates their entry into their future employment. It is a semester-long continuous professional practice in the sixth semester.

The Department of Economic Studies is located in 3. floor in the renovated part of the building, from the office 3N065-3N076 and in the offices 1N061, and the secretariat in room 3N066 and the head of department in room 3N076.
