Professional internship of students

The professional placement forms part of the Finance and Management degree programme and its aim is to enable students both to test the knowledge they have acquired through their studies in the programme’s individual modules by carrying out practical activities in specific organisational contexts, and to supplement this knowledge with practical insights.

Currently, the professional placement lasts 15 weeks and should be undertaken in the 6th semester of study.

The issue of placements is currently governed by the Guidelines on Professional Placements for VŠPJ Students and also Rules for the Organisation of Work Placements for students on the Finance and Management programme. The issue of work placements was the focus of the project “Innovation and Support for Work Placements at VŠPJ and their Monitoring” funded by the Education for Competitiveness Operational Programme, which was carried out between 2011 and 2013. One of the project’s outcomes is the work placement portal praxe.vspj.cz, which serves to match work placement opportunities with students’ demand for such placements.
