Important dates

By the end of the 4th semester at the latest

Select a topic for the Bachelor’s thesis and register for it in the VŠPJ IS following agreement with the supervisor.

Topics are listed on an ongoing basis. If a student cannot find a suitable topic, they may propose their own or approach a specific lecturer.

11 September 2026

Deadline for fulfilling study requirements for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Essential for students completing requirements from the previous year.

14 September – 20 December 2026

Winter term teaching.

18 October 2026

In the 5th semester, the student shall draw up a draft assignment following consultation with their supervisor. The supervisor shall then enter the agreed title and objective of the thesis into the IS.

Any student who has not completed this step should contact their supervisor immediately.

7 December 2026, 12:00

Submit the final thesis for defence in January/February 2027.

One hardback copy to the KES secretariat and electronic files to the IS.

4 January – 7 February 2027

Winter term examination period.

16 February 2027

Deadline for Bachelor’s students to generate their final dissertation brief in the IS before the start of the 6th semester.

Ensure that the thesis proposal is prepared in good time for inclusion in the bound thesis.

26 April 2027, 12:00

Submit your final thesis for defence in June 2027.

One hardback copy to the KES secretariat and electronic files to the IS.

15 February – 23 May 2027

Summer term teaching.

24 May – 27 June 2027

Summer term examination period.

30 June 2027, 12:00
