National Projects

CES members are currently working on the following research project:

AI Catalyst for SMEs: Fostering Innovation through Social Design Thinking Labs and a Shared Knowledge Platform

The project builds on a previous project called AI SDT LAB, where two AI labs were created. The aim of this project is to bring AI (Artificial Intelligence) closer to SMEs.

Project output:

1) Conceptual framework for implementing AI in export-oriented companies when implementing a preliminary prototype of an AI readiness and adoption radar.

2) Development, establishment and testing of an AI training module (based on the training concept developed during the Interreg AI SDT-LAB pre-project).

3) Collecting cross-border good cases of AI adaptation.

4) Online platform with relevant learning and research materials for SMEs and companies looking for a concrete way to assess their readiness for AI, while being able to get the support they need to move forward with implementing and monitoring their AI applications in various industries. 

5)Enlargement of the two AI SDT LAB physics labs (expansion of the 2 existing labs in Steyr and České Budějovice) and preparation of mobile AI SDT LABs consisting of pieces of equipment that are portable and can be transported to other regions (e.g. during roadshows).

6)AI Days: a Roadshow to promote and showcase AI use cases and good cases in Austria and the Czech Republic AI Days in two physical labs.
