The department is currently working on the project "Czech Republic counts on volunteering" under the leadership of the principal investigator Ing. Jakub Dostál, Ph.D. The project is carried out in cooperation with the Department of Social Work. 

The aim of the project is to create a unique tool in the form of a web and mobile application for calculating and interpreting the value of volunteering for both practitioners and individuals in the Czech environment. Thus, a new method of calculating the value of volunteering reflecting the current needs of the Czech environment will be created for the Czech environment, based on which a mobile and web application will be created to enable simple calculation of this value. This application will be placed on the newly created website, where it will be available for free use or download. In addition, a comprehensive research report will be created for further use by both non-profit organisations and public authorities. All outputs will be presented to a thematic conference.
