The VŠPJ Rozjezdy project is here to help develop the entrepreneurial potential of students.

Dreaming of being independent? Have an idea for a business and not sure if it's realistic? Do you want to start a business but not sure what all you need to do to make it happen? Do you even want to be an entrepreneur?

In our experience, there are many individuals among students who carry ideas in their heads with the potential for great commercial success. Uncertainty, ignorance or lack of support leads these people to miss their chance.

The University of Applied Sciences is therefore offering you a unique opportunity to safely test your plan and have it assessed by experts from practice and academia. Successful proposals will go forward to the next round of the competition, so that eventually a few finalists will get the opportunity to consult and collaborate with top experts in the field.

You can enter the competition as an individual or as a team of up to 3 members. We give the opportunity to submit one or more (there is no limit) business ideas from one author or author team. Valuable gifts are prepared for all participants of the final round.

NOUNCEMENT OF THE 1st YEAR OF THE VŠPJ DIVORCE PROJECT

How to apply?

1. Fill in the application form and briefly describe your idea according to the criteria given.
2. Submit the form electronically to one of the following email addresses: dagmar.frendlovska@vspj.cz, katerina.berkova@vspj.cz. We also provide consultation to complete the application form. Feel free to contact us for advice via the emails provided.   
3. Deliver a printed and signed version of the application form during office hours at the Secretariat of the Department of Economic Studies of the University of Applied Sciences to the hands of Markéta Stejskalová, Room 3N008.

Formal requirements for submission of the application

The candidate shall fill the online application form as per the instructions and send it to the contact email. At the same time, he/she has to make a submission of the application form in hard copy version by the tentative date and is required to sign it. Failure to comply with this formal requirement will render the applicant's application invalid and the applicant will not be included in the selection process.

3. 5. 2018     Presentation of selected business ideas at VŠPJ - shortlisting

The presentation will be followed by the development and mentoring of the selected teams to work on the business plan. For this, they will be provided with expert lectures by academic staff from the Department of Economic Studies and practitioners. And as an incentive to persevere in this project and develop their own business idea, there will also be sponsorship gifts for the selected students to look forward to.

The lectures will be voluntary and teams do not have to use them, but their outputs and development outcomes will be measured.

BUSINESS IDEA EVALUATION CRITERIA

1. Practical and social utility of the idea, i.e., neediness
2. Reality of translating the idea into reality
3. The novelty or uniqueness of the idea and its timeliness
4. Time complexity of the idea (i.e. how much time will be needed to prepare your idea, roughly estimate weeks, months)
5. Defining the segment (i.e. identifying the target group, region, county)
6. Financial burden and rough identification of funding sources (i.e. what you will fund it from and how much it would cost you to get it off the ground)
7. SWOT analysis of the idea (i.e. strengths and weaknesses within the activity; threats and opportunities from the external environment)

How will your development proceed in the future and what will happen to your idea

After this first coaching session, you will be able to participate in the Enterprise It! workshop in autumn 2018, led by Ing. Jakub Tížek, who has practical experience in mentoring students in the field of entrepreneurship. With the help of Ing. Tížek, the students' projects will be developed and translated into reality, i.e. brought to full life. More information will be added. Keep an eye on our website!
