Professional practice of students

The aim of the professional practice is to enable the student to verify the knowledge acquired by studying individual subjects of the study programme in practical activities in specific situations in organisations, and to supplement this knowledge with practical knowledge.

The work experience is a part of both the study programme Economics and Management, majoring in Finance and Management (hereinafter referred to as FM), which is valid for students enrolled at the VŠPJ before 2019, and the study programme Finance and Management, which students entered in 2019 and later (hereinafter referred to as FM2019+).

At present, the professional practice of the FD2019+ programme is 15 weeks in length and should be undertaken in the 6th semester of study.

Practicum issues are currently regulated by the Guidelines for Professional Practicum for Students of the University of Applied Sciences and Rules for the Organization of Practicum for students of the field/programme Finance and Management. The issue of internships was the subject of the project "Innovation and support of internships at the VŠPJ and their monitoring" funded by the Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness, which was implemented in 2011-2013. The project resulted in, among other things, the internship portal praxe.vspj.cz serving to link the supply of internships and student demand for internships.
